RULES AND REGULATIONS

Course: Sections will be clearly numbered 1- 10. With the course route clearly flagged, usually 4 laps of 10 sections but the will be made clear when signing on.


Start and finish: All will riders will sign on at the start of the trial and must report at the finish.


Section marking: Start/ Finish will be clearly marked with signs.

Clubman/ B route riders will ride with Red flags on the right and Blue flags on the left

A route riders will ride yellow flags, where applicable otherwise following the clubman route.


Boundaries: Tape or markers are set out on both sides of the section route, boundaries are an imaginery line between each marker.  The machine must stay within these whilst riding the sections otherwise the rider will receive penalties.


Alterations: No alterations of boundaries are allowed after the first rider has passed through the section. Sections may be pulled at the organisers discretion and no marks will be deducted.


Scoring: Punch cards are used at our trials. It is the riders responsibility to look after their punch card. Where the trial is being run with 4 laps of 10 sections, the rider will need to exchange their card after 2 laps.


Section scoring: Scoring will begin when  the front axel passes through the start markers and will stop when the front axel passes through the end markers. The following marks can be awarded:

0 - completion of the section with no penalties

1 - footing once

2 - footing twice

3 - any amount of footing more than twice

5 - failure to complete the section, machine moved backwards, engine stops, rider dismounts ,machine crosses boundary markers or requested by the rider.




TRIALS GROUND IS ONLY AVAILABLE ON THE DAY OF THE TRIAL. ANY UNAUTHORISED RIDING COULD RESULT IN THE LOSS OF THE GROUND.
